Kirtan & Chanting

Kirtan & Chanting

Meditation doesn’t come easy for many people. Stacy offers Kirtan events to allow music, chanting and a sense of community to encourage a quieting of the mind. Stacy’s group chanting events feel like “singing around a campfire” combined with meditation. Everyone’s voices join together to co-create a feeling of love, joy and bliss.

Stacy is a modern kirtan artist utilizing a combination of Sanskrit mantras interwoven with English and Hebrew chants. Through active participation, attendees experience freedom from the daily chatter of the mind.

While active participation is encouraged, the benefits of kirtan can be felt even if a participant simply sits and absorbs the energy in the room.  Energy  builds within each chanted mantra helping to open ones heart and feel more connected to a divine presence.

You do not need musical ability or training to participate in a kirtan.  The quality of your voice is not important.  It is simply about releasing sound and opening your heart to clear stagnant energies and bring in a divine presence.  Chants typically last  between 10 and 20 minutes with a few moments of silence between each chant to integrate the energy created.
